The nature of a little child,
\nI simply could not see
\nHow such a nature ever could
\nBecome a part of me.<\/p>\n
The pride of years would never let
\nMy Savior on the Throne,
\nBut crowned me King and kept me where
\nI reigned, just I alone<\/p>\n
This pride, oh, what a horrid thing,
\nKept me from bending low,
\nSo through the kingdom\u2019s door, you see,
\nI simply could not go. . . .<\/p>\n
Then, oh the wonder of that day,
\nI saw what I should do;
\nI said, \u201cLord Jesus, I step down
\nAnd give the throne to You.\u201d<\/p>\n
And so when I by faith obeyed,
\nA miracle of grace
\nWithin this haughty heart of mine,
